On Friday night, I saw The
Uptown Comedy Connection Show at the Café Royal in
Queens, which featured 3 wonderful comedians: two from HBO
Def Comedy Hour and one performer from Carolines
Comedy Hours. But the star of the show was the host of the
evening, Mr. Howard Moore, who was a cool and calm
performer keeping the crowd laughing throughout the night with humorous
sketches and characters. I later found out that Howard Moore is the creative consultant of this show.
Howard Moore has performed in clubs and theatres
all over. During the evening, Howard Moore showcased
his quick-witted humor and how he plays off the crowd’s energy.
So people, if you want to have a real good time, come and see Howard
Moore and the Uptown Comedy Show! You
won’t be disappointed and they will keep you laughing! |

Howard Moore: This
impressive showman shows that he is not only a comic who tells jokes,
but who knows how to entertain as well. Mr. Moore shows that he is very versatile as he did imaginative sketches, creative
routines, and then worked the crowd with some humor on the audience;
“Girl, yuh got more hair than a chia-pet.”
He really
got the crowd going when he did some singing and dancing, and that’s
what makes his act click with audiences. Be sure to look out for
this guy because his act is sure to keep you in stitches!

The thing that ensures Howard
Moore’s brand of humor is that he refuses to take
himself seriously. Even going as far as to talk about tragic events
close to him. But that doesn’t mean that this comedian isn’t
happy (with two comedy tours and television appearances to come)
he has a lot to be happy for. “Comedy is tragedy comedy is
truism” says Moore, “everybody goes
through it. I try and bring the light on the darkness.” His
brand of humor has transcended the boundaries of comedy playing
to many white audiences as well as black. His insightful humor and
share wit will, always win him a smile. |

COMEDIAN COMES TO HARTFORD
Wednesday night Hartford U. had a great evening with the performance
of comedian Howard Moore, as part of the school
coffee house series of comedy. This high powered act came to Hartford
U campus with his funny routines and crowd pleasing antic. He opened
up with “My name is Howard Moore, Moore comedy, Moore laughs.” He said he hopes to
make himself a household like Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. He definitely shook up the crowd
with a few funny impressions, and ripping into the audience with
some clever observations of people clothing, and haircuts. With
an arsenal of comedy wit and charm. Moore had the
crowd wit and charm. Moore had the crowd laughing
throughout the night, he also touched upon the O.J. Simpson trial
and how there was too much evidence against the ex-Hall of famer. Moore said he couldn’t do all that by himself
it’s too much; Even the O Jays couldn’t do all that.
This guy is not only funny but informative as well. Look out for
this talented comedian coming to a college near you.
